DescriptionThe whole story▼
From a full day on the road to an evening trackday session, the Dainese Axial 2 Air in the Custom Works Fuxia / Viola / Fluo Yellow colourway delivers the anatomically refined fit that keeps you comfortable and in full control from the first corner to the last. This is a boot built around the rider — where all-day wearability meets uncompromising racing protection.
Key Features
- Integrated Axial Distortion Control (ADC) system provides maximum torsional stability without restricting natural movement
- Anatomically shaped construction delivers a close, secure racing fit that remains comfortable over long stints
- D-Axial System reinforcement in carbon and aramid fibre protects ankles and shin while keeping weight to a minimum
- Generous ventilation panels (Air version) promote airflow, making these boots ideal for warm-weather road and track use
- Microfibre upper combined with D-Stone™ fabric and TPU reinforcements ensures durability under hard use
- Seamless interface with Dainese leather suits for a cohesive, professional riding system
Comfort and Ergonomics
The Axial 2 Air is shaped around the biomechanics of sport riding. The anatomical last gives a snug, glove-like fit that eliminates internal movement — a common source of fatigue on longer journeys. High flex zones allow natural ankle articulation so your inputs to the pegs and levers remain precise, never forced. The Air version's open ventilation panels circulate air across the foot, preventing the heat build-up that makes ordinary race boots so punishing on summer road rides or back-to-back trackday sessions.
Protection and Construction
Dainese's D-Axial System forms the structural backbone of these boots. A composite shell of carbon fibre and aramid fibre wraps the ankle and lower shin, resisting the lateral and rotational forces that cause injury in a slide or impact. An integrated stabilisation system works against torsional distortion — the twisting load the joint faces in a get-off — while reinforced zones at the toe, heel and shin absorb impact energy. The microfibre outer is backed by D-Stone™ abrasion-resistant fabric and strategic TPU inserts, giving the boot a robust outer shell that holds up to kerb contact and road rash alike.
Custom Works Design
The Fuxia / Viola / Fluo Yellow Custom Works colour combination is designed to stand out on circuit and on road. The vivid three-colour palette makes these boots instantly recognisable and pairs naturally with bold leathers or a matching helmet, giving riders who want their kit to make a statement the perfect foundation.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Dainese Axial 2 Air is designed for men and is available in sizes 39 through 47. The boot connects directly with Dainese one- and two-piece leather suits, with a purpose-designed interface cuff that seals the suit-to-boot junction. Suitable for road, spirited country-road riding, and trackdays. Delivery approximately 6–8 weeks for Custom Works items.
