The ETC in the name is the news on this motorcycle. For 2026 Zontes gave the 703R an electronic throttle and a six-axis inertial platform, both from Marelli — a first for the brand. None of that reached the element in the airbox. Sprint Filter lists the same SM300S for the 703R ETC as for the 703RR sportbike of 2025, so the newest part of this motorcycle is its electronics and one of its more established parts is its intake. On a model this new, that is a useful thing to be able to rely on.

What the P08 changes on a naked
On a naked roadster the P08 is the element that fits the widest use: one woven layer made for road and track, fine enough for everyday air and open enough not to hold a triple back. It does not add power to a standard 703R ETC — no element in an unmodified airbox does. What it offers is an intake restriction that returns to its starting point every time the element is cleaned, where a paper panel grows steadily more restrictive until somebody replaces it.
Two years of cover, and what it asks for
Sprint Filter warrants the element for two years from the date of purchase. The cover is simple to keep: hold on to the proof of purchase and the original packaging, and service the element the way the maintenance sheet describes — air, water if needed, drying in moving air, and never any oil. Beyond that the part is specified to last as long as the motorcycle, so the two years are the formal cover, not a measure of how long the element is meant to stay in service.
Care and cleaning
Most of what SM300S collects leaves with compressed air, held on the clean side and moved outwards across the weave. For the rest — road film, insect residue — lukewarm water with a little mild detergent does the job, followed by rinsing until clear. Let it dry in moving air at room temperature, keep heat guns, radiators and flames away from it, and refit it dry. The maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.
Fitment & Compatibility
For the Zontes 703R ETC of 2026. The element is shared with the 703RR of 2025 and 2026 and the 703T ETC of 2026, while the adventure 703F uses a different code. The Fitment tab lists all three machines on SM300S.
