Adjustable Suspension, Same Engine
Aprilia's Factory treatment on the 660 means fully adjustable Kayaba units, a lighter battery and a single seat rather than more power. On a motorcycle weighing 183 kilograms, chassis adjustment is worth more than another five horsepower would be.
Cut for the Handlebar
The TS suffix identifies a housing shaped for the Tuono's wide bar rather than the RS 660's clip-ons. The cable exit angle differs between them and a dedicated body avoids forcing a tight radius at full lock.
A Frame You Cannot Modify
Aprilia bolts the swingarm directly to the engine and dispenses with a rear subframe. It makes the bike light and compact and it means the chassis is essentially fixed, which pushes owner attention toward the components that can be changed.
Housing and Switch Together
The right-hand controls sit inside the throttle assembly. Both are renewed by this unit, machined from a single billet and using Aprilia's own connector with nothing spliced.
Ride-by-Wire
The housing holds a throttle position sensor rather than a cable drum. Play between the tube and a cast bore becomes imprecision at the throttle bodies, which a machined bore avoids for considerably longer.
Four Anodised Finishes
Black, blue, red and titanium, converted into the surface. On the Factory's specific livery, black is generally the quietest choice and titanium the one that reads as deliberate.
Sealed Construction
Sealed contacts inside the machined body. A naked bike offers its switchgear nothing at all, so the housing and its seals are the only barrier between the electrics and a wet road.
