DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Superveloce is an F3 wearing 1970s clothes. The JP ACS 060 replaces its throttle housing with a machined Ergal unit and a shorter cam.

- Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
- Short-stroke throttle cam
- Black anodised
- No lettering on the housing
- Uses the original throttle cables
A Retro Bike Built on a Supersport
MV took the F3 800, gave it a round headlight, a single seat hump and a fuel tank drawn to suggest the 1960s racing machines, and produced one of the few modern retro motorcycles that is genuinely fast. Underneath, nothing was softened.
Sold Out Before Production
The first Serie Oro run of 300 was allocated before the bikes existed, and the standard version has been consistently oversubscribed since. MV's ability to sell motorcycles on appearance alone remains undiminished.
The Cockpit Is Deliberately Sparse
A single round instrument, minimal switchgear and clip-ons. Into that arrangement the cast throttle housing with its moulded cover is the component that most obviously belongs to the present day, which is why owners of these replace it.
Machined Reads as Period
Controls in the era the Superveloce quotes were made of metal, cut and finished by hand. An anodised aluminium body milled from solid does not pretend to be a period part, and it sits far better among the bike's brushed and painted surfaces than plastic does.
Cables Retained
The conversion is mechanical and uses the motorcycle's own cables. Nothing electrical is disturbed and the standard housing refits at any point.
No Lettering
The plain version. On a motorcycle whose entire proposition is a carefully composed appearance, adding another manufacturer's logo to the cockpit is a decision most owners decline.
Nothing Was Softened
The Superveloce keeps the F3's chassis, its counter-rotating crank and its state of tune. MV changed the bodywork and the seat and left the motorcycle underneath entirely alone, which is why it is genuinely quick rather than merely handsome.
