The JP MJ 008 smooths out the Panigale 899's throttle response at small openings, which is where a map written to pass an emissions test is at its most cautious.

A Smaller Superquadro
The 898 cc version uses smaller throttle bodies and a shorter stroke, which makes it considerably easier to ride smoothly at part throttle.
Fully Reversible
Unplug the module, reconnect the original connectors and the motorcycle is standard again in the time it takes to lift the seat. Nothing is cut, nothing is soldered and no software has to be reinstalled anywhere.
Buying With an Exhaust Already Fitted
This is the most common situation and the clearest case. A motorcycle running an aftermarket silencer on the standard map is working with a mixture the factory never intended it to have.
Against Flashing the Controller
A full remap can do considerably more and is considerably harder to undo. This module is the narrower, cheaper and entirely reversible option, and for a great many owners that is the right trade.
Warm-Up Belongs Elsewhere
The enrichment a cold engine needs comes from the standard controller reading its own temperature sensor. A module does not participate in that and cannot improve it.
Original Electronics Intact
This bears repeating because it is the product's main structural advantage: nothing is written to the motorcycle. Every parameter, adaptation and stored fault remains the factory's.
Track Days
On a circuit the throttle is either shut or open and the transition matters less than it does on a road. Riders who only ride circuits will notice this module least.
The Emissions Cycle in Practice
The test runs at defined speeds and loads, and manufacturers naturally pay closest attention to those cells. A rider who spends time in exactly those cells feels the compromise most.
