DescriptionThe whole story▼
One point three kilograms. That is the whole silencer, replacing a 4.3 kg standard unit — 69.8 per cent gone, and light enough to carry in one hand without noticing.
Key Features
- 1.3 kg against the standard 4.3 kg: 3.0 kg and 69.8 per cent less
- 5.2 PS and 5.0 Nm more, both at 7,500 rpm
- High-grade titanium with a carbon fibre end cap
- Short conical muffler
- Thirty minutes to fit
- Built for markets where EC/ECE type approval does not apply
An Export Specification
Akrapovic states this exhaust is aimed directly at markets where EC/ECE type approval is not valid. In Europe that makes it a track part, and we would rather say so on the first screen than bury it in a specification table.
If your CB1000R is road-registered here and needs to stay legal, ask us — Akrapovic builds an approved slip-on for this machine and we will point you at it.
Both Gains at Seven and a Half Thousand
5.2 PS and 5.0 Nm at exactly 7,500 rpm. That is well below the CB1000R's redline and squarely in the range a naked litre bike uses on a back road, which makes it a more useful pair of figures than a peak-power number would be.
These are also large gains for a slip-on. Most silencers on a Euro 5 litre bike find one or two horsepower; this one finds five, because the export specification is not constrained by a noise limit.
What It Pairs With
Add the optional header E-H10R7 and the two form a complete system from the cylinder head back. That header needs no ECU remapping, which makes the combination unusually straightforward for a full exhaust.
Carbon Where It Shows
The end cap is carbon and the sleeve is titanium — the reverse of what most riders expect. Akrapovic puts the carbon at the outlet, which is the part visible from directly behind the motorcycle, and the titanium along the body where heat is highest.
Thirty Minutes
Honda hangs the CB1000R's silencer on a bracket off the single-sided swingarm, and it comes off with a clamp and two bolts. Half an hour is a fair estimate on a bike on a stand.
Seven Model Years
Honda kept the CB1000R's exhaust mounting unchanged from 2018 through 2024, across the 2021 facelift that changed the headlight and the tank cover. One silencer covers the whole Neo Sports Café generation.
Five Horsepower From a Silencer
That is a large figure for a slip-on, and it comes from the export specification: without a European noise limit to hit, Akrapovic could open the internals further than an approved silencer allows.
It is the same reason there is no approval. The two are the same decision seen from two sides.
Fitment and Compatibility
S-H10SO21-ASZT covers the Honda CB1000R, the Neo Sports Café and the Black Edition from 2018 through 2024. It does not fit the CB1000 Hornet from 2025.
Road Approval
None valid in Europe. This product does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use here.
