DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two point three newton metres at 1,860 rpm. That is barely above idle on a 1,043 cc four, and it is the lowest-revving gain in the entire Akrapovic range — the number a Ninja 1000SX rider feels every single time they pull away. The Slip-On Line (Carbon) S-K10SO32-HRC also removes 2.7 kg and keeps the Kawasaki panniers.
Key Features
- 2.3 Nm more torque at 1,860 rpm — just off idle, where a loaded sport tourer is asked to pull
- 2.52 kg against the standard 5.22 kg: 2.7 kg and 51.7 per cent less
- Carbon fibre muffler outer sleeve and end cap
- Compatible with the Kawasaki side cases, which on this machine is the deciding question
- One part number covers the Ninja 1000SX through 2024 and the Ninja 1100SX from 2025
- EC and ECE type approved, certificates supplied
- Noise insert included, installation about 30 minutes with no remapping
Why 1,860 rpm Is the Headline
Most exhaust gains are quoted somewhere between 8,000 and 11,000 rpm, which is honest but of limited use on a machine ridden two-up with luggage on a motorway. Akrapovic's measurement on this system puts the torque peak gain at 1,860 rpm, which is the bottom of the usable range. It is the difference between having to drop a gear at a roundabout and not having to.
Peak power moves only 0.3 PS, from 132.1 to 132.4. That is stated plainly here rather than dressed up — the argument for this part is the low-end torque and the 2.7 kg, not the top end.
The 1100SX Sits in the Same Bracket
Kawasaki grew the Ninja 1000SX into the 1100SX for 2025 with a larger engine and revised electronics, and kept the exhaust mounting untouched. This silencer therefore fits both, and the shop shows both in the fitment list.
The measured figures, though, come from a 2020 Ninja 1000SX. They describe what this system does to that engine. On an 1100SX the part fits, the weight saving is identical because the silencer is the same object, and the power figures should be read as indicative rather than exact — Akrapovic has not published a separate run for the larger motor.
Fitment and Compatibility
S-K10SO32-HRC covers the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX from model year 2020 through 2024 and the Ninja 1100SX from 2025 through 2026. Two optional parts are available separately: a stainless steel header E-K10R9 and a carbon fibre heat shield P-HSK10SO4 — the latter is what appears alongside the system in Akrapovic's product photographs.
Road Approval
EC type approval and ECE type approval, with the certificates supplied and downloadable here. Fitted on its own, the silencer is a legal replacement part for road use in the European Union.
