DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is a big naked roadster with a sporty heart, and many owners use it as their only bike: commuting in the week, touring at weekends, sometimes with a passenger and soft luggage. AGPA106 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's front pad for the GSX-S1000 from 2015 to 2026, suited to that kind of all-round, all-season life where the brakes must work in the rain and on cold mornings as well as on summer evenings.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Suzuki GSX-S1000, years 2015 to 2026
- Sintered compound, article AGPA106ST
- High, even grip in cold and warm conditions, according to Accossato
- Accossato mentions good grip in wet weather
- Well suited to touring with a passenger or luggage
- Rear pad AGPP88 listed for this bike
- Discs listed by Accossato: DK234 and DK251
- Racing use; no German approval documents
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's claim for the Sintered compound is that it keeps a high and constant grip whatever the temperature and bites well on wet surfaces. On a bike used as much as a GSX-S1000, that consistency means the same lever feel on the first cold stop and after a long descent. Accossato also describes its pads as long-wearing, resistant to fade through limited heating, and strong in stopping power.
Two-Up on a Naked Roadster
A GSX-S1000 with a passenger behind and a tank bag in front is a different machine to stop. More weight moves forward under braking, and the front tyre and pads carry most of it. Add a damp road on a spring weekend and you want a front brake that does not change character. That is the setting for the Sintered pad. Before a longer trip, check pad thickness on both calipers, look at the discs for scoring, and make sure the brake fluid is not overdue. Change pads on both front calipers at the same time so the two sides feel equal.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA106 for the GSX-S 1000 from 2015 to 2026. The GSX-S1000 has two front calipers; each box holds pads for one caliper, so you need two boxes for the front. AGPP88 is the rear pad for this model, and Accossato names the discs DK234 and DK251. The same pad shape is also made as EV1 street/track, EV2 racing and ZXC ceramic racing.
Road Approval
AGPA106ST reaches us without an ABE or German test papers, so we list it for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
