The Piega R series is the direct product of OZ's involvement in Superbike World Championship racing. Every Piega R wheel is forged from high-grade aluminium billet in Italy, then machined and anodised to OZ's racing-grade surface standards. The anodised finish — available as Techno Black or Techno Gold — is not a painted layer; it is an electrochemical conversion of the aluminium surface itself, making it harder and more resistant to corrosion and abrasion in trackday conditions. Both colours lend a purposeful, competition-derived aesthetic that sits naturally on the M1000RR's aggressive bodywork.
