Machined from a single solid billet, the Talos X75 SBK Racing Monoblock brake caliper is the result of uncompromising materials engineering and race-series precision. Part number X75.108.HD.R, this is the front right unit built exclusively for professional superbike chassis, racing frames and dedicated trackbikes — it is not OEM-compatible and will not fit production motorcycles.
Key Features
- Full monoblock construction machined from solid billet for absolute rigidity — zero flex even under extreme thermal load
- P4 piston layout with 2 x 32 mm and 2 x 36 mm pistons delivering savage initial bite and precise, linear modulation through long braking zones
- Titanium pistons with TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating for maximum heat stability and minimised friction under repeated hard stops
- Hard anodised finish provides outstanding scratch resistance, heat tolerance and a professional SBK aesthetic
- 108 mm radial mounting pitch — the superbike racing standard — paired with a 22.5 mm offset for optimised pad alignment
- Compatible with brake discs from 290 mm to 330 mm diameter, covering the full spectrum of racing disc specifications
- Weighs just 627 g, lighter and stiffer than any comparable OEM caliper
Monoblock Architecture — Where Rigidity Defines the Braking Point
The X75 is hewn from a single block of material, eliminating every joint, bolt and potential flex point found in two-piece caliper designs. Under race conditions — repeated 300 km/h stops, sustained track temperatures, and aggressive lean-angle braking — the monoblock body holds its geometry absolutely. The result is a braking point you can rely on lap after lap: direct, clean and utterly predictable. That structural integrity is what separates a racing caliper from an uprated road part.
P4 32/36 Piston Configuration — Bite, Stability and Modulation
The staggered-diameter piston arrangement is a deliberate performance choice. The twin 32 mm front pistons generate aggressive initial pad engagement, while the twin 36 mm rear pistons sustain clamping force across the full pad face throughout the braking zone. Transitioning between the two delivers the progressive feel that allows a rider to modulate braking pressure accurately mid-corner — the balance between raw stopping power and the fine control that wins races rather than merely losing them slowly.
Each piston is machined from titanium and finished with a physical vapour deposition TiN coating. Titanium's low thermal conductivity insulates the brake fluid from caliper-body heat, protecting against fade. The TiN surface reduces wear and friction at the piston seal interface, maintaining consistent pedal feel across an entire race distance.
Hard Anodised Finish — Surface Integrity Under Racing Conditions
The hard anodising process converts the outermost layer of the aluminium body into an extremely dense aluminium oxide. Compared to standard anodising, the hard anodised layer is significantly deeper and harder, offering superior resistance to abrasion, thermal cycling and corrosion. This is not a cosmetic treatment applied for showroom appeal — it is a functional surface engineering decision that extends caliper life in the most demanding operating environments.
Fitment and Compatibility
The 108 mm radial mount is a superbike racing standard that is rarely found on production motorcycles. Before ordering, confirm that your fork legs feature 108 mm radial mounting holes. This caliper is designed for — and only suitable for — the following applications:
- Custom superbike builds and race-prepared chassis
- Professional trackbikes running non-OEM fork/caliper mounts
- SBK and Supersport competition motorcycles with 108 mm radial mount forks
- Applicable platforms include — but are not limited to — racing derivatives and track conversions based on: Ducati 848, 899, 959, 1199, 1199 S, 1199 R, 1299, 1299 S, V4, V4 S, V4 R; Aprilia RSV4, RSV4 R, RSV4 RR, RSV4 RF, RSV4 1100, RSV4 1100 Factory, RS 660, RS 457; BMW S1000RR, M1000RR, HP4, HP4R; Yamaha R1, R1M, R6, R7, R9, R3; Honda CBR 1000 RR, CBR 1000 RR-R, CBR 600 RR; Kawasaki ZX-10 R, ZX-10 RR, ZX-6R, ZX-4 RR, Ninja 400; Suzuki GSX-R 1000, GSX-R 750, GSX-R 600; Triumph Daytona 675, Daytona 675 R, Daytona 765, Daytona 765 Moto 2, Street Triple 765 R, Street Triple 765 RS; MV Agusta F3, F4; KTM RC8 1190, RC 390; Bimota KB998 Rimini; CFMoto; QJMotor — subject to your specific fork and chassis specifications
