How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Design, Finish and Heritage
Suomy has supplied helmets to Grand Prix champions for decades, and the SR-GP Evo carries that lineage in every line of its silhouette. The Infrared graphic was developed as a flagship colourway: the matte grey base resists glare and fingerprints on track, while the red and black accents echo the high-contrast liveries that have appeared at the front of MotoGP grids. Unlike gloss finishes, the matte surface ages gracefully and retains its depth through a full season of use.
The shell itself is the result of Suomy's Tricarboco construction — a multilayer composite of carbon fibre, Kevlar fibre, fibreglass and aramid-reinforced resins that is hand-laid and autoclave-cured. The outcome is a shell with outstanding resistance to both torsion and vibration, and with exceptional energy absorption in the event of an impact. Four distinct shell sizes mean the EPS liner is always correctly proportioned to the shell, avoiding the fit compromises common in helmets that use only two shell sizes across the full range.
Aerodynamics
With a drag coefficient of Cx 0.39, the SR-GP Evo ranks among the most aerodynamically efficient full-face helmets on the market. The integrated rear spoiler generates measurable downforce at track speeds, reducing neck fatigue during sustained high-speed sections. Wind tunnel refinement is visible in every surface transition — there are no styling details that conflict with the aerodynamic brief. Visibility
The visor aperture delivers 92° of vertical vision and 210° of horizontal vision — a field of view wide enough to spot apex markers in deep lean and to track fast-closing traffic in peripheral vision. The visor itself is rated Optical Class 1 for distortion-free clarity, features a variable-thickness construction to resist scratch damage, and changes without tools via a tool-free release mechanism. The metallic racing lock system holds the visor sealed against buffeting and pressure changes at speed. The included Pinlock MaxVision 120 insert eliminates fogging even in rain, low temperatures and the humidity generated by hard physical effort on track.
Ventilation
Five large intake vents — positioned at the forehead and chin — channel fresh air through optimised EPS ducting and exhaust it through two aerodynamic rear outlets. A Venturi effect accelerates extraction, keeping the interior cooler than simple passive ventilation. The system was developed for racing conditions, where sustained high output generates significant head heat over a race distance.
Interior and Retention
The interior is lined with hypoallergenic, breathable high-tech fabrics that wick moisture rapidly and dry quickly between sessions. The full liner is removable and machine washable. Emergency quick-release cheek pads allow first responders to remove the helmet safely without rotating it. A Camel-Bag compatible channel accommodates a hydration system for endurance track use. The chin strap uses a double-D ring — the retention standard mandated by racing regulations worldwide — for a secure, precise and repeatable fit.
