It should be said plainly that none of this shows up as horsepower. An element in a standard housing does not make a standard Monster V2 noticeably stronger, because the whole intake path was signed off as one design. What it does is hold the resistance of the filter itself low, and put it back there whenever you choose.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eCare and cleaning\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eMost services need an air line and two minutes: blow through the element from its clean face outwards, working across the whole surface rather than at one spot. Once a year, or after a winter of salt and damp, wash it in warm water with a mild detergent until the water coming off it is clear. Let it dry completely in still, open air — never over a heater, never with a flame — and fit it dry, with nothing sprayed on it.
