Spidi has built a comprehensive armour package into the Carbo Fit Sport that goes well beyond the minimum required by its certification. Internal palm padding, dorsal padding, lateral hand padding, reinforced abrasion zones, carbon knuckle protection and shock-absorbing polyurethane shields work together to guard every surface of the hand in the event of a slide or impact. At an average weight of just 0.4 kg per pair, all of that protection adds negligible mass — a detail that matters on a long sporting road ride as much as it does on circuit.

Build Quality and Materials

The outer shell combines perforated goatskin leather at 0.6–0.8 mm thickness with high-resistance velour microfibre panels. The leather is thin enough to transmit precise feedback through the handlebars yet tough enough to resist abrasion in a fall. Carbon inserts at the knuckles and a variable-density polyurethane shield on the back of the hand complete the layered protection strategy. Accordion-stretch panels are integrated into the construction to keep the glove moving with your hand rather than against it, maintaining dexterity whether you are feathering a brake lever through a series of corners or working the clutch lever out of a slow hairpin.
