Build Quality and Materials

The choice of titanium for both the header and the silencer body is not a cosmetic decision — it is the material of choice for factory Superbike teams precisely because it combines tensile strength with minimal mass and outstanding resistance to the extreme thermal cycles generated by a high-revving inline-four. The natural raw titanium finish develops a subtle heat-bluing patina over time, a mark of genuine material rather than a cosmetic coating, and it resists corrosion without additional surface treatment. The carbon fibre end-cap reinforces the outlet and keeps the tip weight to an absolute minimum, complementing the overall weight budget of the system.

Performance and Sound

Reducing unsprung and reciprocating mass by 6 kg on a sub-200 kg superbike is a transformation that every rider will feel immediately — turn-in sharpens, the chassis sits more neutrally through direction changes, and the engine is no longer fighting the back-pressure characteristics of a road-homologated silencer. The Konix Evo canister is tuned for the S1000RR K67's firing order and header primary lengths, optimising scavenging across the rev range. At 107 dB (5,500 rpm, DB-killer removed) the note is authoritative on circuit; reinstall the supplied DB-killer and the system becomes considerably more civilised for road riding without any tooling required.

For best results, Inter-Pace strongly recommends a bespoke race map or a dyno remap calibrated to this system. The gains in throttle response and peak power are most fully realised when the fuelling is matched to the freer-breathing exhaust characteristics.

Installation Notes

The complete mounting kit — including the subframe bracket and all exhaust springs — is supplied, making this a straightforward workshop fit for anyone with standard motorcycle tooling. The system is designed to retain compatibility with the standard S1000RR fairings and radiators, so no bodywork modifications are required. Note that this system is not compatible with the passenger footpeg assembly; it is intended for single-seat or track-day configuration.
