This replacement is available in Black/Black, Black/Red and Black/White, each in the size ranges 39-42 and 43-48.

Key Features

Original Sidi upper brace for the Rex

Sidi position no. 298

Hard plastic reinforcement for the upper shaft

Three colourways: Black/Black, Black/Red, Black/White

Size ranges 39-42 and 43-48

Support for the Upper Shaft

A racing boot needs a stiff upper section so that it braces the lower leg instead of folding over in a crash. The upper brace provides that frame at the top of the Rex and links up with the shin and rear shell pieces. Cracks, broken mounting points or heavy abrasion reduce its strength, which is why a damaged brace should be replaced rather than tolerated.

Size Range and Colour

The brace is shaped to the height and girth of the boot, so Sidi offers two ranges: 39-42 for Rex sizes 39 to 42 and 43-48 for sizes 43 to 48. Note that these ranges differ from those of the lower ankle support. After the size, pick the colour combination that matches your boot.

What You Should Know

Sidi lists the upper brace for the Rex only. Order according to the size marked in your boot, and check position 298 on the Sidi spare-parts chart. Fitting a structural part like this is best done by a Sidi dealer if you are not experienced with boot repairs.

Specifications

Brand

Sidi

Part

Upper brace

Sidi part no.

52110

Sidi position no.

298

Fits

Rex

Colours

Black/Black, Black/Red, Black/White

Sizes

39-42, 43-48

Material

Hard plastic

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/sidi-rex-upper-brace-boot-spare-part-1.png?v=1793441713
