sidi-gladius-smoke-motocross-goggles-white-grey
Sidi Gladius Smoke Motocross Goggles White/Grey

White goggles look sharp on the start line and pair naturally with a white helmet. The Gladius Smoke White/Grey adds a dark logo and a lightly tinted lens to that clean base. Sidi lists it at 120 grams with an Over The Glasses frame.

This is the tinted member of the Gladius family; the standard Gladius uses a clear lens instead.

Key Features

White frame and strap, dark grey logo

Smoke tint, Sidi Category 1

Scratch-resistant outer lens face

OTG layout for spectacle wearers

Manufacturer-described anti-intrusion frame

Foam in two layers

Silicone-backed elastic strap

Single size, 120 g

Fit With Glasses and Helmet

The frame is shaped with extra depth so that spectacles can stay on under the goggle. Sidi claims this extra room costs neither stability nor comfort. Around the helmet, a printed elastic strap with a silicone inner surface holds position on landings and through rough sections. One size is offered; it is meant to fit the eye port of a typical motocross helmet.

The Tinted Lens

Category 1 covers 43 to 79 percent visible light transmission in the chart Sidi publishes for its goggle range. Compared with the clear Category 0 Gladius, the smoke lens cuts more brightness; compared with Sidi's mirrored Category 2 option, it lets more light through. Sidi positions it for variable conditions. A scratch-resistant coating protects the lens against wear from grit and debris.

Foam and Moisture

Dual-layer foam frames the face. In Sidi's words it combines essential comfort with moisture management and a secure seal. Foam soaks up sweat and dust over time, so let it dry fully after each ride and clean it gently.

Materials and Spares

TPU makes up 45 percent of the goggle and polycarbonate 25 percent. The remainder is PES (15 percent), PU foam (12 percent) and silicone or other materials (3 percent). Sidi writes that replaceable components help the goggle last longer, but gives no parts list, so please check with us before counting on a specific spare.

What You Should Know

We found no reference to anti-fog treatment, tear-offs, roll-offs or a second lens supplied with the goggle, so none is claimed here. Sidi names no protective standard. White plastic and a white strap will pick up dirt stains, especially from red clay, and need more frequent cleaning than darker colours. The light smoke tint is not designed for very bright sun.

Colour

In the front photo the frame is a clean, slightly warm white with a fine darker edge where the lens sits. The strap is white too, with the oversized Sidi lettering printed in dark charcoal grey. Small white clips and grey details sit on the band. Together with the tinted lens the look is crisp and high-contrast. It is easy to coordinate with light kit, and it will show every bit of track dirt.

Specifications

Brand

Sidi

Model

Gladius Smoke

Colour

White/Grey

Lens

Smoke Cat. 1, scratch-resistant (43–79% VLT)

Frame

Anti-intrusion frame, OTG design

Foam

Dual-layer foam

Strap

Silicone-lined printed elastic strap

Weight

120 g

Size

One size

Composition

45% TPU, 25% polycarbonate, 15% PES, 12% PU foam, 3% silicone/other

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/sidi-sidi-gladius-smoke-motocross-goggles-white-grey-01.png?v=1793439828
