How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

The Shark Aeron GP Speed-Fancy DWB is a helmet shaped by MotoGP heritage and refined through genuine wind-tunnel development. Its striking white, blue and black Speed-Fancy DWB livery is more than a colour scheme — it is a visual declaration of intent, matched precisely by the engineering beneath the shell. Dual FIM FRHPhe-02 and ECE 22.06 homologation means this is a helmet that belongs on the world's fastest circuits as readily as it belongs on the road.
Key Features
- COVA carbon shell — 80% carbon fibre and 20% aramid woven together for an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, tipping the scales at just 1410 g in size M (±50 g)
- Dual homologation: ECE 22.06 road approval and FIM FRHPhe-02 (FIM2) racing certification in a single helmet
- Panoramic visor with scratch-resistant, anti-fog optical class 1 lens — both a clear and a dark-smoke visor are included, along with a five-piece tear-off set
- Adaptive aerodynamic spoiler that responds automatically to airflow, reducing turbulence and head-lift at high speed
- 5 intake vents and 7 exhaust outlets channelled through an integrated EPS duct system for sustained cooling during race sessions
- 3D-scanned interior with Morpho pads, antibacterial and moisture-wicking liners, and an emergency quick-release cheek-pad system
Design, Finish and Heritage
The Speed-Fancy DWB colourway sits within Shark's 2025–2026 collection and draws directly from the brand's long presence in top-level motorsport. The dynamic interplay of white, blue and black across the matte-finish COVA shell gives the Aeron GP an unmistakable track presence without sacrificing the refinement expected of a premium road helmet. Every graphic line follows the helmet's aerodynamic contours, making the design feel purposeful rather than decorative.
The COVA shell technology itself carries heritage weight. Shark developed the 80/20 carbon-aramid layup to balance the pure stiffness of carbon with the impact-absorption characteristics of aramid, producing a shell that is both lighter and more resilient than a conventional mono-material construction. That development lineage is visible in the Aeron GP's sculpted profile, which traces its proportions back to Shark's race-winning lids.
Aerodynamic Performance
Shark's engineers tested the Aeron GP shell in a wind tunnel with specific attention to behaviour at sustained high speeds. The adaptive aero spoiler adjusts its effective angle with changing airflow conditions, actively reducing neck load and destabilising turbulence. The chin bar geometry and visor transition are optimised for a low-drag racing tuck, while the surface finish minimises boundary-layer separation — details that matter when a fraction of a second or a moment's distraction can define the outcome.
Visor System
Clarity at 300 km/h demands more than a simple lens. The Aeron GP's visor is rated optical class 1, the highest standard available, and carries both scratch-resistant and anti-fog treatments as standard. The panoramic field of view extends peripheral awareness on track without distorting straight-ahead vision. UV protection is built in, and the visor mount is tear-off compatible — the included set of five tear-offs ready to fit straight from the box. The precise locking mechanism seals tightly at the lower edge, measurably reducing wind noise at race speeds.
Interior Comfort and Fit
The interior of the Aeron GP Speed-Fancy DWB was developed using 3D head-scan data to map the relationship between shell shape and the full range of rider head forms. Morpho pads and shaped ear cushions allow fine-tuned pressure distribution, while the antibacterial, moisture-wicking liner can be removed and machine washed. The helmet is also suitable for glasses wearers, with channels that accommodate both sports and prescription frames without pressure points. In an emergency, the quick-release cheek-pad system allows first responders to remove the helmet safely and with minimal head movement. The retention system uses a double-D ring closure. Bluetooth and intercom systems — including SENA and Sharktooth — are compatible according to the Shark catalogue.
Ventilation
Five intake vents and seven exhaust outlets feed the Aeron GP's internal EPS duct network. Fresh air is drawn across the crown and directed through the EPS channels to exit efficiently at the rear, preventing heat build-up during prolonged high-intensity riding. Two anti-fog masks — one configured for summer conditions, one for winter — are included to manage visor fogging in varying temperatures.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Shark Aeron GP FIM 2 Racing Speed-Fancy DWB is a full-face racing helmet suitable for track days, circuit racing under FIM regulations and road use. It is homologated to ECE 22.06 for road use across Europe and to FIM FRHPhe-02 (FIM2) for competition. It is compatible with SENA and Sharktooth Bluetooth intercom systems. Glasses wearers are accommodated by the shaped interior architecture.
