The supplied dB-killer brings the exhaust note within legal limits on public roads while still producing the deep, pressurised sound that defines SC-Project's racing heritage. The homologation card is included in the box, so the paperwork is handled from day one.

Unlike many performance systems that force a choice between road legality and genuine character, the S1 holds both. Remove the dB-killer for closed circuit use and the character of the full titanium construction becomes immediately apparent.

Performance and Engineering

SC-Project's motorsport division has campaigned exhausts in the Superbike World Championship for years, and the S1's architecture reflects that lineage directly. The full titanium link pipe creates a straight, unobstructed connection to the OE catalyst, which is why no remapping is needed — the flow geometry is optimised for the standard fuelling map. The result is a clean, consistent +1.4 hp at 12,000 rpm and a +1.1 Nm torque improvement at 12,250 rpm, precisely where the R1's crossplane inline-four is working hardest.

Hydroforming technology shapes the pipes without seams or welds at stress points, and every joint is finished with TIG welding for long-term durability under sustained high-temperature cycling. The carbon heat shield included in the kit protects surrounding bodywork and rider hardware from the elevated temperatures titanium generates in use.

Materials and Craftsmanship

The silencer canister is full titanium — not a titanium-coated steel unit — chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion and heat discolouration over time. The carbon fibre end cap is formed with the same precision tooling used on SC-Project's track-only catalogue, providing a visual signature that is immediately recognisable and structurally integral rather than decorative.
