The SC-Project SC1-S is a Euro 5 homologated slip-on silencer built specifically for the Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M RN65 (2020–2026). Performance & Sound

Replacing the stock silencer with the SC1-S unlocks a meaningful power gain at the top of the rev range — +1.6 hp and +1.1 Nm at 12,000 rpm — delivered through optimised exhaust gas routing that improves throttle pick-up across the entire rev band. The lightweight construction also reduces unsprung mass, contributing to a more agile feel through corners.

Sound character is deep and purposeful without crossing into illegality. The supplied dB killer with its locking system keeps the output within Euro 5 limits on the road, while the core silencer architecture retains genuine racing DNA. Remove the dB killer on a closed track and the R1's crossplane four comes into its own.

Materials & Build Quality

SC-Project draws on aerospace manufacturing techniques throughout the SC1-S. The Titanium version (Y11C-T124T) is formed from lightweight, heat-resistant titanium that develops a characteristic heat-tint patina over time. The Carbon version (Y11C-T124C) is wrapped in a twill-weave carbon fibre shell that immediately signals performance intent. Both share a carbon fibre end cap, a high-temperature heat shield, and heat-resistant internal damping material rated for sustained high-rpm use.

Fitment & Compatibility

The SC-Project SC1-S slip-on is designed to fit all Euro 5 variants of the Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M RN65, covering model years 2020 through 2026. It connects to the original catalytic converter and stock header via the included titanium link pipe with no modification to the airbox, ECU, or fuelling system required.
