The SC1-R's acoustic character is as purposeful as its weight figures. Measured at 6,500 rpm:

• 250 mm with dB killer: 108 dB
• 250 mm without dB killer: 115 dB
• 350 mm with dB killer: 107 dB
• 350 mm without dB killer: 110 dB

Run the dB killer for controlled track-day noise limits, or remove it entirely for unrestricted sound pressure on closed circuits.

Materials and Construction

The SC1-R is available in two premium finishes — titanium outer shell for that raw, heat-blued racing look, or carbon fibre outer shell for maximum weight reduction combined with visual drama. Both variants share the same carbon fibre end cap, chosen for its exceptional temperature resistance and the signature SC-Project aesthetic. Every joint is hand-TIG-welded by SC-Project's craftsmen in Italy, holding the same standards applied to their WorldSBK and MotoGP customer kits.

Fitment and Compatibility

This kit is engineered exclusively for the Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M, chassis code RN65, covering model years 2020 through 2026. It retains compatibility with the original pillion rearsets and includes provisions for the factory lambda sensor.
