SC-Project developed the GP70-R directly from their involvement at the highest levels of motorcycle racing, and those origins are evident in every design decision. The full-titanium build is not a cosmetic choice — it is a genuine mass-centralisation upgrade that makes the GSX-R 1000 feel lighter on turn-in and more responsive mid-corner. The optimised exhaust routing works in concert with the Ø70 mm exit to improve scavenging, which is where the measured gains of +3.6 hp and +2.6 Nm at 9,500 rpm originate. On a Superbike that already revs hard, finding that kind of power in the upper range translates directly to faster exit speeds and a more urgent drive down the straight.

Build Quality & Materials

Every GP70-R silencer is fabricated using aerospace-grade titanium from inlet collar to end cap. CNC-machined titanium sleeves locate the can onto the mid-pipe without play, and T.I.G. welding ties every joint together with a bead quality that doubles as a visual statement. The Ø70 mm outlet is finished with the SC-Project laser-etched logo, making the unit immediately identifiable as a factory-specification racing component rather than an aftermarket bolt-on. The titanium body develops its own heat-blued patina with use — a characteristic that is unique to each silencer and impossible to replicate with stainless steel.

This silencer is supplied without a dB-killer insert. The result is an exhaust note that is deep, mechanical and entirely unfiltered — exactly what a circuit environment demands and entirely unsuitable for public roads.

Fitment uses the factory mid-pipe connection point. The included titanium pipe fitting, mounting springs and fasteners allow straightforward installation without specialist tools. As with all SC-Project racing exhaust systems, an ECU remap or power commander calibration is recommended to fully realise the performance gains.

Important Notice

This exhaust system carries no road-use homologation and is supplied without noise-reduction insert. It is designed exclusively for closed-circuit competition and track day use.
