Standing 40 mm taller than the standard screen and shaped using virtual wind tunnel technology, it cuts wind pressure, sharpens high-speed stability and reduces fatigue — whether you are pushing hard on track or covering ground on the road.

Aerodynamic Performance

Puig engineered the R-Racer using modern virtual wind tunnel simulation mapped specifically to the YZF-R7's ergonomic envelope. The result is a measurably improved aerodynamic coefficient that translates directly into less turbulence around the rider, reduced buffeting at top speed and noticeably lower fatigue on longer stints. The sculpted lateral notches are a detail lifted straight from the race paddock: they redirect turbulent shoulder-level airflow cleanly outboard, keeping the rider planted and composed even when the pace rises.

Material & Build Quality

The screen is formed from 3 mm PMMA high-performance acrylic — the same material specification Puig uses across its race and track-day range. The compound is impact-resistant, lightweight and UV-stable, so optical clarity is maintained season after season without yellowing or crazing. All edges are rounded to a 2 mm radius for rider safety. Every unit passes a visual quality inspection before leaving Barcelona.
