Track Performance & Build Quality

The Piega R is the product of OZ's long involvement in Superbike racing, where reducing unsprung and rotating weight is one of the most impactful modifications available to a rider. By starting with a forged aluminium billet rather than a casting, OZ achieves a denser, more consistent grain structure that resists fatigue cracking under repeated braking and cornering loads. The five-spoke layout is not purely aesthetic — each spoke is profiled to carry load efficiently while contributing the minimum possible mass to the rotating assembly.

The result is a wheel that responds noticeably faster when the Kawasaki's 636 cc inline-four is spinning up through the rev range, and that holds its line with greater composure when braking from high speed into tight chicanes. Both anodised colour options — Techno Black and Techno Gold — are applied through a process that is integral to the aluminium surface, so the finish resists chipping and contributes nothing meaningful to overall weight.
