Öhlins machines its pistons rather than sintering them, which is why the port edges stay sharp.

Key Features

Dimension B 16.2 mm

Thread M10x1

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension A 1 mm

Öhlins part number 00605-03

What It Is

Öhlins gives it as 1 mm, 16.2 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Valves and needles set the adjustable part of the damping; the piston sets the rest. Jets meter fixed bleed flow and are sized in tenths of a millimetre. Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00605-03. The published dimensions are dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 16.2 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. A scored piston face means oil bypasses the shims entirely. Jets meter fixed bleed flow and are sized in tenths of a millimetre.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00605-03

Category: Valves

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 16.2 mm

Thread: M10x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00605-03_bf41c645-3512-4e23-8f65-4c7617a232ea.png?v=1788872469
