Thread pitch on end caps is specific to the tube they close. A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping. Thread size and eye diameter identify the part.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

How to Be Sure It Fits

60005-03 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Thread pitch on end caps is specific to the tube they close. End caps seal the unit and carry the adjusters; they are matched to the tube they close.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 60005-03

Category: End Caps

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/60005-03_a649e453-4dbc-4edd-8f96-e5b70bec3123.png?v=1788878572
