Springs are a service part: they age, they settle, and replacing them restores the geometry.

Key Features

Dimension A 40.22 mm

Dimension C 38 mm

Dimension B 44 mm

Öhlins part number 00417-02

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

This one measures 40.22 mm, 44 mm, 38 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring, so the rate on the label is the rate fitted. Progressive springs change rate through the stroke and suit short-travel machines. Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour.

Original Öhlins Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 00417-02 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 40.22 mm, dimension b 44 mm, dimension c 38 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring individually. A spring that has settled in service sits shorter than new and quietly lowers the ride height.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00417-02

Category: Springs

Dimension A: 40.22 mm

Dimension B: 44 mm

Dimension C: 38 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00417-02_d5d2fe28-2ca1-4f7d-b588-415015df865e.png?v=1788869314
