Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour. Springs are the cheapest suspension part and the one that decides the most. A settled spring lowers the machine without anyone changing a setting.

Why the Original

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 15429-12 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring individually. Progressive springs change rate through the stroke and suit short-travel machines.

Öhlins measures each spring after setting rather than relying on the winding specification.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15429-12

Category: Springs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15429-12_95f23d87-cce8-478f-8169-756d8aad40db.png?v=1788878785
