Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring, so the rate on the label is the rate fitted. Springs are a service part: they age, they settle, and replacing them restores the geometry. Progressive springs change rate through the stroke and suit short-travel machines.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 25618-01. dimension a 63.7 mm, dimension b 94 mm, dimension c 34 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Öhlins measures each spring after setting rather than relying on the winding specification. A settled spring lowers the machine and steepens the steering without anyone changing a setting.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 25618-01

Category: Springs

Dimension A: 63.7 mm

Dimension B: 94 mm

Dimension C: 34 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/25618-01_72ba2202-7006-4276-8685-f8451c523451.png?v=1788880937
