Rate is chosen for rider weight and load, not for the machine alone.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 05907-04

Where It Sits

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring, so the rate on the label is the rate fitted. Springs are a service part: they age, they settle, and replacing them restores the geometry. Progressive springs change rate through the stroke and suit short-travel machines.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 05907-04. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. A settled spring lowers the machine without anyone changing a setting. Öhlins measures each spring after setting rather than relying on the winding specification.

Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05907-04

Category: Springs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05907-04_013c1769-75a5-44ed-90a4-5675a94ada74.png?v=1788877140
