Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 05179-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. dimension a 57 mm, dimension b 38 mm, dimension c 12 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05179-02

Category: Circlips

Dimension A: 57 mm

Dimension B: 38 mm

Dimension C: 12 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05179-02_5d42a3bb-29a6-40ca-8f74-9c86177a7df5.png?v=1788876396
