Thread size and length identify the fastener; substituting a hardware-store equivalent is not sensible in a pressurised damper. These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards. Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position.

Original Öhlins Part

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 05425-12. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. These spacers position the spherical bearing in the eye and set its width to the chassis mount. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05425-12

Category: Ball Joint Spacers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05425-12_c6e18e85-2f06-4b1b-8972-ba434fe23737.png?v=1788874132
