Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters.

Key Features

Dimension C 5 mm

Dimension A 6.5 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21219-02

Dimension B 12 mm

Function

Dimensionally this is 6.5 mm, 12 mm, 5 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly and do not seal twice. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position.

Genuine Service Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 21219-02 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. The published dimensions are dimension a 6.5 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 5 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21219-02

Category: Spacers

Dimension A: 6.5 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21219-02_65f7e8d3-d54f-48bc-9200-fc4dd0edc5b9.png?v=1788879541
