Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 24629-27

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly and do not seal twice. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. Spacers set the internal geometry of the unit, which means their length is a specification and not a filler.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 24629-27 in this case. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Thread size and length identify the fastener; substituting a hardware-store equivalent is not sensible in a pressurised damper.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 24629-27

Category: Spacers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/24629-27_e20c4085-550c-40fb-a0cd-7fb407c2d923.png?v=1788878327
