Öhlins uses PTFE-coated bushings for a low breakaway force. Worn bushings show up as a knock over sharp edges before they show up as a leak. Öhlins uses low-friction coated bushings so the unit breaks away smoothly rather than sticking.

Why the Original

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Getting the Number Right

01653-11 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. inner diameter 8.1 mm, outer diameter 19 mm, length 16.5 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Guide bushings set the internal alignment of a cartridge. A bushing is a consumable and is replaced at rebuild rather than reused.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01653-11

Category: Guides

Inner Diameter: 8.1 mm

Outer Diameter: 19 mm

Length: 16.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01653-11_e1b51448-eefd-4f12-93fd-bba81014597f.png?v=1788873896
