Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00230-01

Original Öhlins service part

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 00230-01 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00230-01

Category: Reservoirs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00230-01_8ee08cfd-605b-46fd-af8d-f0583d46355b.png?v=1788869024
