The seat face has to be flat enough for the first shim to seal against it. A scored piston face means oil bypasses the shims entirely. Öhlins uses a light spring so the valve reacts to shaft speed rather than to pressure alone.

Genuine Service Part

Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 06047-00. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins uses a light spring so the valve reacts to shaft speed rather than to pressure alone.
