The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does.

Genuine Service Part

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 04763-19. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04763-19

Category: Preload Tubes

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04763-19_7d17ab1d-eb3b-4a49-9601-1fd3d58838ef.png?v=1788875811
