Öhlins machines its pistons so the port edges stay sharp and the flow predictable.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 00104-11

Dimension A 8 mm

Dimension B 36 mm

Where It Sits

00104-11 is the 8 mm, 36 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually. The piston carries the shim stacks and meters the oil; its port layout is what makes an Öhlins damper behave the way it does. Needle geometry sets the shape of the adjustable range, not just its size.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 00104-11 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 8 mm, dimension b 36 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually. Twin-tube pistons have separate paths for compression and rebound, which is the whole point of the design.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00104-11

Category: Pistons

Dimension A: 8 mm

Dimension B: 36 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00104-11_3ad31b94-f760-4f08-a9a6-960c5bcf7503.png?v=1788868602
