Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Why the Original

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 15082-04 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins states dimension a 2 mm, dimension b 50 mm, dimension c 198 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Inner tubes carry a low-friction coating; once it is through, the seals wear quickly. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15082-04

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 2 mm

Dimension B: 50 mm

Dimension C: 198 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15082-04_cc821aa7-e055-4e5b-a1de-31e2b295935f.png?v=1788876022
