The outer tube holds the bushings and the seal head, so its bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Key Features

Dimension A 48 mm

Öhlins part number 21010-30

Dimension B 221 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

21010-30 is the 48 mm, 221 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism.

Why the Original

An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21010-30. Öhlins states dimension a 48 mm, dimension b 221 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21010-30

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 48 mm

Dimension B: 221 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21010-30_ddcbc4ff-ecac-467f-992b-1cd2c203b477.png?v=1788879280
