Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21011-09

Dimension A 48 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 116 mm

Where It Sits

21011-09 is the 48 mm, 116 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 21011-09 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 48 mm, dimension b 116 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21011-09

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 48 mm

Dimension B: 116 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21011-09_343d399f-ec7c-4fb1-bf7e-d2b59c5c124f.png?v=1788879295
