ohlins-o-ring-04722-22
Öhlins O-ring – 04722-22

O-ring, Öhlins part number 04722-22. O-ring sizes are given as inner diameter and cross-section, and both have to match — a close size is not a match.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 04722-22

Original Öhlins service part

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Seal heads combine the oil seal, the dust seal and the bushing in one assembly. Assembly grease matters — the wrong compound swells the seal and it fails early. Nitrile, Viton and PTFE behave differently with temperature, and Öhlins picks per position.

Genuine Service Part

This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Getting the Number Right

Order under 04722-22. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. A leaking damper is not a cosmetic problem: it is a damper that has stopped controlling the wheel. A ring that has taken a set no longer springs back and starts to weep under pressure.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04722-22

Category: O-Rings

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04722-22_d4d20d26-a64e-47cc-b4ea-4156c9c8ba23.png?v=1788875284
