Seal kits gather the pieces one rebuild needs, which avoids a second order mid-job.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 04722-14

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. A leaking damper is not a cosmetic problem: it is a damper that has stopped controlling the wheel. Öhlins recommends replacing seals whenever the unit is opened, not only when it leaks. A seal that has taken a set no longer springs back and starts to weep.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 04722-14 in this case. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Size is given as inner diameter and cross-section; a close size is not a match. A seal that has taken a set no longer springs back and starts to weep.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04722-14

Category: O-Rings

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04722-14_ef36ebfd-4ff5-4052-b4bb-e5b1ae8cd1d5.png?v=1788875277
