A rounded tip means the first clicks stop doing anything.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 06256-02

Where It Sits

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it.

Genuine Service Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 06256-02 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Electronically controlled adjusters replace the needle with a solenoid but keep the same hydraulics. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06256-02

Category: Adjustment Needles

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06256-02_1e8b2d5b-831d-4c50-b8dd-0be234a948b7.png?v=1788877750
