Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21005-08

Dimension A 36 mm

Dimension B 96 mm

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

The published figures are 36 mm, 96 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced. Öhlins fork parts are specific to the fork model, not interchangeable across the range. A bent inner tube is scrap — straightening changes the wall and it bends again.

Why the Original

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 21005-08 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. dimension a 36 mm, dimension b 96 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21005-08

Category: Inner Tubes

Dimension A: 36 mm

Dimension B: 96 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21005-08_bd223656-51de-4303-9b47-bf74a44e30be.png?v=1788879223
