A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. A hose-mounted reservoir lets the damper be fitted where a piggyback would not go. Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 05108-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05108-01

Category: Hoses

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05108-01_6455c2f1-e4ff-4ee6-bd06-fe51444a2da2.png?v=1788873826
