The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect.

Original Öhlins Part

An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

00640-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. dimension a 10 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 420 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00640-01

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 10 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 420 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00640-01_da223ada-2259-4035-a102-767c474f4423.png?v=1788872677
