Öhlins states an oil for each of its units in the fitting instructions, and the numbers there assume that fluid.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 01309-80

Made by Öhlins in Sweden

Details

Suspension fluid is asked to do two contradictory things: stay thin enough to flow through a shim stack and thick enough not to foam when the damper works hard. Using a different oil changes the damping the shim stack was set for — it is not a like-for-like substitution. Anti-foaming additives matter more in suspension than in almost any other application, because air in the oil means no damping at all.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins suspension rewards careful fitting. We recommend having the work done by an authorised Öhlins service centre — and we are one ourselves: we fit, service and set up Öhlins components in house. If you would like us to handle the installation, just ask and we will quote it with the order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01309-80

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01309-80-platzhalter_4995d61b-4cfe-4c5f-8763-720bb2d022e6.png?v=1790976368
