Guides and sleeves set the internal alignment of a cartridge. A worn bushing lets the shaft move off centre, and the seal is the next thing to fail. A worn guide shows up as a knock over sharp edges.

Genuine Service Part

The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 21757-04 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Check inner diameter 22.3 mm, outer diameter 26 mm, length 70 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. A worn guide shows up as a knock over sharp edges. Bushings carry the side load in a damper or fork and keep the moving parts concentric.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21757-04

Category: Guides

Inner Diameter: 22.3 mm

Outer Diameter: 26 mm

Length: 70 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21757-04_7b16d165-5a49-41bb-9c0b-c5c693be972f.png?v=1788880196
