Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 04715-24

Function

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism.

Original Öhlins Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 04715-24 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04715-24

Category: Fork Bottoms

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04715-24_67d81866-a89b-45a7-9fc4-f67e04aec876.png?v=1788872729
